Hello all,

Election 08: It’s finally here…and the winner is…

Hello all,

Yes, it’s November 4, 2008 and it’s voting time across the country.  I hope you voted, yes I’m mean YOU!  Everyone who can legally vote, should.  That being said, I sketkar did vote.  So, now I’ll be glued to the TV switching between the Pundits on various media outlets to see who get’s it wrong first and the most.  They are all competing and will be in a hurry to call the Presidential Election.  Well, I’ll do better, I’ll predict it right now… no, not really but I will give you what I think will happen when we all wake up tomorrow morning.

As everyone knows that Barack Obama is said to be up anywhere from 7 to 9 percentage points in the polls but there’s this Bradley effect that says that people will say one thing and vote a completely different way.  In the Bradley case just like Obama, it’s a black candidate and every while citizen is a secret-racist (hmm.. I wonder it that anything like a secret-muslim), anyways.  I won’t get into that right now, I’ll lay out what I think will happen, this is just my opinion, my prediction if you wish.

Electoral Map

That would be Obama-307, McCain-231.  Obama winning… let’s see how close a get.

Jon Stewart on Bush making a case for Iraq War vs Economic Bailout

This is a clip titled “Clusterf#@k to the Poor House - Dive of Death” from the September 25th, 2008 episode of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.  Jon makes a humorous yet startling comparison between 2003 Bush making a case for the Iraq War vs 2008 Bush making a case for the Economic Bailout.

Congressional Scorecard

Every few years, our trusted politicians take an oath of office to uphold and defend the Constitution of The United States Of America.  We as citizens believe that the person we voted into office will live up to that oath and do what is in our best interest.  But what if they weren’t?  What if they  were slowly writing laws that withered away our rights?  Who among us has time to really sit down and analyze all the bills, resolutions, and laws passed by our elected officials?

Here (thenewamerican.com) is a link that provides a scorecard of elected officials voting records and whether or not they are really protecting the Constitution. Have a look - you might be surprised.
