Brian,

Show me where in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution where the Federal Government has the authority? Liberals will argue that either the Commerce Clause or the General Welfare Clause gives them the authority.

However, the writings of the Founders like Jefferson and Madison doesn't support this view. Madison actually vetoed a bill he liked because he viewed it to be Unconstitutional. Members of Congress asked him about both these clauses and he rejected both of them. The bill? The Federal Government was to build roads and canals. Considering that Historians refer to Madison as the "Father of the Constitution", I think he has a better understanding of the document than virtually any Supreme Court Justice appointed since FDR.

I have always argued that if Liberals really wanted Health Care, they need to pass a Constitutional Amendment giving the government the authority to do so. However, they know they would never get the number of states to approve it, so they pass it as a law and see if the Supreme Court rules on it or not.

This has been a problem on both sides, Conservative and Liberal since 1913. (If not earlier) When they are out of power, they scream about the Unconstitutional things the party in power is doing, and then, don't do anything about it once they are in power, and even then continue to abuse the Constitution themselves.

Also Arkle, You complain about Right Wringers can't argue honestly.. I would strongly recommend you look in the mirror yourself. Also, those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, I think that also applies in your case.

Also, let me state for the record, on the shows or in my posts, I never denied my strong Libertarian leanings. The early shows of the podcast were done while President Bush was still in office. Ragman and I were just as critical of him as we are now towards President Obama.

Again, I do find you amazing in one aspect. I banned you from the View Forums on Farpoint Forums. You ignored the ban and I was forced to delete your posts, and told you that I would continue to do so. The owner of the forum backed me in this decision. You do seem obsessed to comment on the show even after the ban, so you felt compelled to do so here. Personally if the moderator of a forum asked me to leave, I would do so and not follow him to other venues. Honestly, I do find your actions a bit pathetic. So who is the nutjob here?

For the record on the Farpoint Forums, I did ban two people from posting. Considering, one was the most liberal and the other the most conservative, I would suggest that means I am doing my job.

BTW.. Consider yourself banned here as well.

What exactly about the health care is unconstitutional? I hear this argument a lot but it's not usually followed by evidence; only by vicious attacks that are one of three things; Racist, Partisan, or Both*. This meme is just another Right Wing lie that gets reported on uncritically as if it's valid by the So-Called Liberal media. Of course you want their reports to be thrown in the trash can, because despite your claims to centrism you often allow thinly veiled racist conspiracy theories to propagate unchallenged here and on the VFTF forums. You are just another Right Wing Nut Job who masks their bile behind a false veneer of "centrism" or "being a moderate" to give this nonsense false credibility.

* And watch as the response to that is that I called ALL Obama critics racist. because Right Wingers are incapable of arguing honestly. Sorta like what they did to President Carter when he commented about SOME of the protestors being racist, RWNJs went on Fox and CNN and MSNBC and claimed he said ALL of them were. And they got away with it too. odd, you'd think the "Liberal media" wouldn't let something like that slide. oh wait, the Liberal media bias thing is a myth, I almost forgot.
